JIKEN: Jurnal Ilmu Kesehatan Nusantara, published by PT. Nasyah Medika Care, is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, integrity, and availability of all published scholarly content.

The journal recognizes digital preservation as an essential component of responsible scholarly publishing and aims to maintain reliable access to scientific publications for researchers, healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and the wider public.

1. Digital Preservation

JIKEN is committed to preserving its published articles and associated scholarly records in digital formats.

The journal's digital preservation policy aims to:

  • Maintain the long-term accessibility of published articles.

  • Protect scholarly content against accidental loss, corruption, or unauthorized modification.

  • Preserve article metadata, bibliographic information, and publication records.

  • Support the continued availability of previous and current journal issues.

  • Facilitate the responsible dissemination and reuse of scientific knowledge.

2. Archiving and Preservation Systems

JIKEN supports the use of recognized digital preservation systems and institutional archiving mechanisms to strengthen the long-term availability of published content.

Where technically available and formally activated, the journal may participate in established preservation services, including:

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): A distributed digital preservation system designed to maintain multiple copies of scholarly content.

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): A preservation service supporting eligible journals published through Open Journal Systems.

  • CLOCKSS: A collaborative digital preservation initiative supporting long-term access to scholarly publications.

  • Institutional Repositories: Authorized institutional or scholarly repositories that preserve and disseminate published research.

Participation in these services is subject to their respective technical requirements, eligibility criteria, and formal arrangements.

3. Self-Archiving Policy

JIKEN permits authors to deposit and share their published articles through institutional repositories, personal academic websites, and other appropriate scholarly platforms.

Authors are encouraged to acknowledge the original publication in JIKEN and include the article's DOI or permanent URL, where available.

Self-archiving and reuse must comply with the journal's Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license and any applicable third-party rights.

4. Long-Term Accessibility

JIKEN aims to maintain continuous access to published articles through its official journal website and available digital archiving infrastructure.

Published articles, including those from previous issues, are intended to remain accessible without subscription fees or access restrictions.

The journal will make reasonable efforts to preserve article files, metadata, and publication records in the event of technical disruptions or changes to its publishing platform.

5. Article Metadata and DOI Preservation

JIKEN supports the accurate maintenance of article metadata, including titles, author information, abstracts, keywords, publication dates, and bibliographic references.

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), where registered, provide persistent identifiers that support article discovery and citation.

DOI registration and metadata management complement, but do not replace, the preservation of full-text article content.

6. Open Access and Licensing

All published articles are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

This license permits users to access, share, reproduce, and adapt published materials, provided that appropriate attribution is given and adaptations comply with the ShareAlike requirements.
